Emergency School Closings

• All Sports Activities: If schools close due to inclement weather or emergency situations, all practices and contests are automatically canceled.

Severe Weather & Lightning Policy
The district strictly enforces the New York State Thunder & Lightning Policy:

• Immediate Suspension: Upon the very first sound of thunder or sight of lightning, play is suspended immediately. All participants and spectators must seek shelter in a permanent building or closed, metal-top vehicle.
• The 30-Minute Clock: Play will not resume until a full 30 minutes has passed since the last sound of thunder or flash of lightning. Any subsequent thunder or lightning resets this 30-minute clock.
